SafeAI does not quietly filter a message and send it behind your back. When protection is active and relevant information is detected, Privacy Review shows you the protected message and lets you decide what happens next.

Choosing “Send original” sends unfiltered content. Protection applies when enabled, with the local Privacy Filter installed, in supported workflows.

It is designed to reduce unnecessary exposure — not to promise perfect anonymisation or automatic legal compliance.

In your documents
- Docs: whole document or selected text. Review, replace and Undo.
- PDF: whole document or selected text. Copy protected text; the PDF itself is not replaced.
- Sheets: protect and apply to selected cells, with Undo.
Before cloud AI
Protection must be enabled and the local Privacy Filter component installed. Privacy Review applies to supported cloud requests. Markdown has cloud protection only; Slides and HTML do not currently have privacy integration.
Checks run locally, using a multilingual model and additional deterministic checks where applicable. Messages are not sent to Hugging Face for privacy checking. Your category choices persist.

Running models locally is powerful. Choosing the right one is often the difficult part. That is why SafeAI Office works alongside the free SafeAI Model Finder. It checks your computer, helps you understand what it can realistically run and guides you toward models and quantizations that fit your hardware. It also provides the setup path for the local Privacy Filter component used by SafeAI Office. You do not need to understand GGUF files, quantization levels or hardware calculations before you can begin.
